This award recognises organisations in Ireland that are using artificial intelligence, digital technologies and data-driven innovation to accelerate sustainability performance and environmental transformation. Projects may include (but are not limited to): AI-powered optimisation, smart energy management, emissions monitoring, predictive analytics, digital twins, automation, sustainability reporting systems, resource efficiency technologies and operational transformation initiatives. Entrants are expected to demonstrate how technology is delivering measurable environmental improvements and enabling long-term sustainable transformation across the organisation. Entry is by a 5-page A4 PDF submission; the judges will be looking for innovation, scalability and measurable impact, paying particular attention to the criteria listed below.
- Organisation Background & Digital Transformation Journey: Describe the size and nature of your organisation, including its sector, operational scope, and digital transformation journey to date. Highlight any relevant certifications, frameworks, partnerships, or external recognition supporting your AI and digital innovation initiatives.
- AI & Digital Transformation Strategy: Outline your organisation’s AI and digital transformation strategy, including key objectives, business challenges addressed, and measurable targets. Explain how artificial intelligence & digital technologies have been integrated to improve organisational performance, customer experience, sustainability, or operational efficiency.
- Implementation & Innovation: Summarise the key initiatives delivered as part of the transformation programme. This may include AI deployment, automation solutions, predictive analytics, digital platforms, machine learning applications, process optimisation, smart technologies, or data-driven decision-making tools. Demonstrate how innovation has delivered tangible organisational benefits.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Digital Adoption: Explain how employees, customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders have been engaged throughout the transformation journey. Include details on training, change management, digital culture initiatives, leadership involvement, and how adoption of new technologies has been encouraged across the organisation.
- Outcomes & Measurable Impact: Provide quantifiable evidence demonstrating the impact of the programme. This may include productivity improvements, cost savings, customer satisfaction increases, reduced operational inefficiencies, sustainability gains, revenue growth, or other measurable business outcomes. Include year-on-year comparisons and real-world examples where possible.
- Future Goals & Continuous Innovation: Outline future plans for AI and digital transformation within the organisation, including upcoming technologies, innovation initiatives, investment priorities, and continuous improvement strategies. Demonstrate how the organisation plans to remain agile, competitive, and forward-thinking in an evolving digital landscape.
